Stream Deck Plugin
Control your Eeko automations right from your Stream Deck! This guide will walk you through setting up the Eeko plugin.
Installation
Getting started is easy:
- Open the Stream Deck application on your computer
- Navigate to the Eeko plugin on Elgato Marketplace
- Or click the Store icon in Stream Deck:
and search for "Eeko"
- Or click the Store icon in Stream Deck:
- Click the Install button
The plugin will automatically download and appear in your actions list.
Configuration
Add the Trigger Action
Once installed, you'll find the Eeko plugin ready to use:
- Look for "Eeko" in your Stream Deck actions list (on the right side)
- Drag the "Trigger Automation" action onto any button you'd like
- Click the button to open its settings
Connect Your Account
To connect your Stream Deck to Eeko:
- Visit eeko.app and sign in
- Navigate to Settings → API Keys
- Click "Generate New Key" and give it a friendly name like "My Stream Deck"
- Copy the generated key (it starts with
eko_
) - Paste this key into the Stream Deck property inspector
Select Your Automation
After entering your API key:
- A dropdown menu will appear with your available automations
- Important: Only automations with a "Stream Deck Trigger" will appear in this list
- Select the automation you want this button to trigger
- The button will update to show your automation's name
Creating Stream Deck Automations
To make an automation available in Stream Deck:
- Go to eeko.app
- Create a new automation or edit an existing one
- Add "Stream Deck Trigger" as the trigger type
- Configure your desired actions
- Save and enable the automation
Your automation will now appear in the Stream Deck dropdown.
Usage
Once everything is set up, simply press your configured Stream Deck button! You'll see "Triggered!" briefly appear to confirm your automation has been activated.
Tips
- You can use multiple Stream Deck buttons for different automations
- Each button can trigger a different automation
- The button displays the automation name for easy identification
- If an automation is disabled in Eeko, the Stream Deck button won't trigger it
Troubleshooting
If you run into any issues:
No automations showing?
- Verify your API key is correct
- Ensure you have at least one automation with a Stream Deck trigger
- Check that automations are enabled
API key not working?
- Generate a new key from eeko.app
- Make sure you're copying the entire key
- Keys expire after 90 days of inactivity
Connection issues?
- Check your internet connection
- Verify Eeko services are online
- Restart the Stream Deck software
